My second volume is on its way; I’ve watched the first volume, and have watched through the 2nd volume on TV so I can vouch for the continued excellence of story through as far as it’s been broadcast in the US so far (as of dec09), and for the quality of the first volume I currently have in hand. See my extensive comments, and comments of others, on Volume 1 of this 3-volume DVD set, here on amazon. Very clear and excellent-quality english subtitling (which is not only easy and quick to read but also includes colloquial idioms (i.e. the equivalents in english)). Very high film-making/production quality, great acting, intelligent script, fabulous visual appeal (scenery, detailed rich sets, costumes, etc.). Everyone finds this story very addicting, and universally appealing. American tv series should be so good!
I am adding a postscript to this review: I noticed that there seems to be two versions of this product. This one is listed as put out by Insta Entertainment, and has a blue background cover. The other one is listed as put out by MBC, and has a green background cover. I actually bought the green background cover version of Vol 1, so far. So my review in terms of known video/disc quality is for that version and Vol 1 set only; I cannot speak to whether or not this one is precisely the same. (But I would guess that this Insta Entertainment version is authorized by the original publisher MBC who created this drama, or it wouldn’t be sold here on amazon (this ain’t no ebay!
This version is more competitively priced, so it’s worth consideration.

My wife introduced me to this drama which i found very addictive. She found it on the web and after watching a few poorly downloaded episodes on you tube decided to buy the dvd. Only problem is you must use a high end DVD player to watch dvds, Video is choppy and sound distorted on low end models

Very good delivery and a flexible warranty. After viewing found a faulty section in the dvd. This was outside the warranty period. After emailing the management understood that it was very hard to see all the episodes within the warranty period and promised a replacement.

Aloha, I think the great queen seondeok is a must see for all to see. I love the costumes they wear and the actrees that plays misil should be given many more roles shes the best villain I have ever seen. I was hoping there would be more of the great queen seondeok to see. Please let me know when the new episodes will be out I must have them. Definitely worth the money I never thought I would be watching Korean dramas but wow! awesome.
